A photo taken from Highway 1 during the Cache Creek 600 randonneur ride in 2011 shows the B.C. community of Spences Bridge. During the event this year, a participant was shot by an unknown assailant. On the last Sunday morning, a 59 years old Burnaby man was shot during a bicycle event. The location of this assassination took place south of Spence Bridge on highway 1. It happened about 1 am. The Police officers think that the assassin fled by a pickup truck after fire at this person. Burnaby man is now in a hospital and in a stable condition. The cyclist takes part in a 600 kilometer event, which is supposed to be finished in 2 days. The location is around the Spence Bridge.

I think this is a very good time to test the efficiency of the police officer. It will not be an easy job to find out who is the murder. The murderer happened in 1 a.m., which means that there will not be many witness out there. The information that polices get is very limited. They are only guessing that there is a pickup truck for the murderer. But since the victim is now in a good condition and stabilized, hopefully the police officer will able to get some information or clues from the victim. But why is he cycling in 1 a.m.? If I am him I will rather find an inn and get rest for tomorrow. Also, the event should have more police around the trail, in case of the murderer like this ever happen again.
